Great place to find at the end of a long walk, excellent beers, straight from the tap
On s 2 day break from hastings and found this beer in local pubs wow the chestnut ale is amazing popped into the brewery and purchased some bottles lovelyWt
Family friendly environment, allows for dogs too.
Always a favourite with locals and day visitors. Seating at the back and also upstairs with a lovely Snug.. Beer, wine and Mead etc to purchase for self indulgement or for gifts.
Great place for a pint
Went in to purchase a couple of raffle prizes and the lady at the Bury St Edmunds shop very kindly gave me a gift box of 2 bottles and a glass for free. The raffle was in support of The Hearing Dogs for the Deaf and St Nicholas Hospice and was part of Abbey Lodge Masonic meeting. Thank you to Nethergate.
Without a doubt the best brewery tour I've been on. Not only were the beers delicious, our guide was a former publican and brewing expert who gave a fascinating account of the brewery's history as well as the brewing process. There's a great taproom which seems beloved by locals.
Phenomenal beer and really friendly staff. Can't beat Nethergate beer. The brewery tour is also well worth a visit.
