Our secret recipe is so hush-hush that we can't even share it with you, but what we can tell you is that Venture Point 5 is the perfect beer to enjoy when you want to be part of the party without overindulging. And if you need further convincing, we're proud to say that it was awarded the best tasting low-alcohol beer at the SIBA East Awards in the packaged beer category - winner, winner!
How Does It Taste
Venture Point 5 dazzles the taste buds with its light and fruity flavour, thanks to the American hops we use to brew it. It's crisp and refreshing on the palate, with a pleasant hoppy and citrusy finish that leaves you wanting more. The combination of Nugget, Cascade, Ekuanot, and Centennial hops makes for a unique and irresistible taste that is sure to please beer aficionados and newbies alike.

We carefully selected Nugget, Cascade, Ekuanot, and Centennial hops to give Venture Point 5 its distinctive flavour profile. These hops bring out the light and fruity notes that make this low-alcohol beer so delicious. Nugget hops provide a spicy and herbal aroma, while Cascade hops offer a citrusy and floral scent. Ekuanot hops bring tropical notes, and Centennial hops round it all out with a slight bitterness. Together, they create a beer that is complex, flavourful, and refreshing.

Having tried a number of different low alcohol real ales and found them wanting, I was very pleased to come across Nethergate Venture Point 5 in a pub in Cambridge. I ordered a case for Christmas and my Camra member friend have complimented it, without knowing it’s a low alcohol brew. It’s a lovely malty pale ale, good body and mouth feel, with a mild hop finish. I’ll be ordering more soon.

Let’s be honest, 99% of low alcohol beers are best used as drain cleaner-garbage with a horrendous aftertaste that puts you off ever buying low alcohol again.
This beer is NOT one of those beers! It tastes like the beer you expect from Nethergate but without the hangover and leaves you responsible to look after the family over the Christmas period.
I ordered online and it came quickly depending how close to Christmas I left it. Ill definitely be ordering this beer again

My first try / taste of Venture 0.5 and I was very surprised. It has a good flavour and really quite drinkable as a ‘low / no’ alcohol beer. Definitely worth having a few bottles in storage for when I don’t want or can’t have my usual SVG. Will buy again
