New Electric Charging Units Installed!
We've installed three brand-new Zappi electric vehicle charging points at our Shop, Taproom, Brewery & Distillery in Long Melford, Sudbury in our latest initiative to become more sustainable as a community business.
In our blog written back in August, Our Solar Switch, we proudly explained how we had taken a big step in becoming more sustainable by installing 108 solar panels on our warehouse roof to start generating our own energy. Today, we're super-happy to inform you that we've completed our next project, the installation of EV charging units for our customers, community and team to benefit from.
Having access to reliable and convenient charging infrastructure will be a great benefit to many electric vehicle (EV) owners locally and is the first step in our journey to convert all of our vehicle fleet to electric vehicles.
Pop in today and speak to our team to start using our electric charging units today! Please be aware that our chargers will only be available to customers within our Long Melford opening times.

- Fast charging: The 7 kW charging power of the Zappi Smart EV Charger allows for fast charging of compatible Electric Vehicles. Meaning you can pop by our shop & taproom, plug in for an hour or so, enjoy a drink with us and head on your merry way with a fully charged battery!
- Convenience: We're hopeful that our newly installed charging points will be beneficial to local EV owners given that our local area now has a convenient and reliable place to charge their vehicles! We could be helping people locally make the switch to electric.
- Smart charging capabilities: Our chargers are equipped with smart charging technology, which means that they can automatically adjust the charging rate based on factors such as the current electricity price, the EV's battery state of charge, and the owner's charging preferences which can help optimise the charging process to save money on electricity costs.
