Welcome to Nethergate Brewery
We've been brewing award-winning beers since 1986. Our independent Suffolk brewery is home to the famous Old Growler and a huge variety of fresh beers and craft ales.
SOME THINGS ARE JUST MEANT TO BE...
The Nethergate Brewery was born in 1986, in the small town of Clare, in Suffolk. Like many great ideas it, was conceived in a pub between two friends, one a businessman and the other a Microbiologist...the perfect team to set a brewery up.
We brew high quality distinctive beers and are very proud to have won 40+ significant regional, national and international awards including twice winning Champion Winter Beer of Britain.
We have a fantastic range of permanent beers complemented by an interesting and innovative seasonal range (all of which can be bought in our online store). We use ingredients such as coriander, lemon and ginger in our beers to create what we think are some of the tastiest beers around.
When we're not brewing we are partial to sampling our beer, so we look forward to seeing you for a pint sometime!

Nethergate Brewery sells our entire collection of craft Beers and Ales via our online store. From our core beers such as Nethergate, Suffolk County and Ian and Paul, to our coriander infused Umbel and Umbel Magna, there’s sure to be something to suit every taste. Either collect from our store or have them delivered to your home!

Keen to sample our brewery’s delights? Well, you’re in luck - our Brewery Shop and Tap Room is now open for business! Sample up to 6 of our independent brews and enjoy a great range of draught and bottled beers at our very own pop-up bar. We also stock hand-selected wines, spirits and soft drinks.
And if you are planning a party and want something a little different, why not call us and book the brewery and bar for your own exclusive event. We will be happy to provide tailor-made entertainment and provide catering for a group of up to 60 guests

MEMBERS & TOURS
Come and experience the passion we have for our beer with a tour by one of our team. Learn about the history of brewing and the ingredients we use. See our fantastic brewing process to brew our finest Nethergate ales. You’ll see beer originating from the best ingredients to the point of pour... and of course the chance to sample some!
