Your Experience

Begin in our welcoming taproom, G&T in hand, as your guide introduces the Nethergate story — from our Suffolk brewing roots to the birth of Melford’s Gin.

Then step into the distillery to see where the magic happens. You’ll watch our stills in action, discover the science of distilling, and explore the Suffolk botanicals that give our spirits their distinctive character.

Round things off with a guided tasting back in the taproom, surrounded by good company and the easy charm of Long Melford. You’re welcome to linger for another drink or browse the shop before you head off.

Our distillery is a working environment and includes stairs and some uneven flooring. For visitors with reduced mobility, please call 01787 377087 to discuss access or tailored arrangements. Wheelchair access is available on the ground floor. Strictly 18+ only.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Tour was interesting and the gin and spiced rum were amazing. Would recommend the tour to anyone interesting area.

The lady who was took the tour was very knowledgeable of the brewery and the brewing process. Was also nice to do a tour where you actually saw everything working as opposed to some of the more commercial tours I've visited.

What a fantastic tour we would recommend to everyone to give you understanding of the process and to see where the good stuff is made. Everyone involved was so friendly and enthusiastic can’t wait to tour again at some point keep up the good work

Fantastic, compelling, interesting and informative tour with Rob on Wednesday. An absorbing blend of art and science,fuelled by his passion for the whole subject. Well worth the effort and cost!!

Came here with my dad for his birthday, we had a lovely time, the gin was delicious and our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of our questions. We'll be back for sure!
