When we decided to brew a lager, it wasn’t about following trends; it was about doing it our way. Every drop is brewed using pure water drawn from our very own Stour Valley well, providing a literal connection to the Suffolk landscape that has defined us since 1986. After decades perfecting the art of cask beer, we’ve applied that same craftsmanship—longer conditioning and patient fermentation—to create a 4.5% lager with the same depth of soul you’d expect from a Nethergate pint, just served colder and crisper.
THE PERFECT BALANCE: OUR THREE-HOP BLEND
This isn’t a mass-produced “continental” lager; it’s Suffolk through and through. Traditional Saaz and Tettnang hops bring a classic noble aroma—floral, earthy, with a whisper of spice—while a final flourish of Centennial hops adds a refreshing citrus brightness. The result is a golden, gleaming pour with a gentle fizz and a clean bite. It’s a lager made by brewers who believe flavor belongs in every style, resulting in a finish that lingers just long enough to remind you it was made with an obsession for taste over tempo.
