While our Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds taprooms are the heart of our community, our fresh beer boxes allow you to bring that authentic pub storytelling home. Each box is filled with "bright" real ale, meaning it has been settled and is ready to drink immediately—no waiting required.

A Range for Every Occasion

Our fresh beer lineup features the very best of our core range, allowing you to choose the perfect character for your event:

  • Old Growler (5.0%): Our legendary, multi-award-winning porter with rich chocolate and roasted malt notes—a "bulldog with bite" for those who love a dark, satisfying pint.
  • Suffolk County (4.0%): The classic chestnut-colored bitter that started our journey in 1986, still brewed to the same award-winning recipe.
  • Stour Valley Gold (4.2%): A light, citrusy, and floral golden ale brewed with water from our own well in the Stour Valley—our best-selling beer for a reason.
  • Venture (3.7%): A modern, easy-drinking amber ale that bridges the gap between traditional British brewing and new-world hop flavor.

Local Craft, Local Delivery
Because our fresh beer is a live, perishable product, these boxes are exclusively available for local delivery and collection within the Suffolk and Essex regions. This ensures that every pint maintains the high-quality standards set by our Head Brewer, Ian Carson, and reaches you in peak condition. It also helps us stay "rooted" in our community, reducing food miles as part of our ongoing eco-actions.
