Our story began in 1986 over a few pints in a snug tavern. Two school friends, Ian and Dick, decided Suffolk deserved better, so they set up a modest 10-barrel Peter Austin brewery on Nethergate Street. Forty years later, that same passion for "grain to glass" quality drives every bottle and can we pour. Whether you’re a lifelong Old Growler fan or discovering our Growling Dog craft series for the first time, welcome to the family.
