White Stout

I ordered a pint blind and realised my mistake. I was expecting a White Stout and this pint is absolutely neither. It’s the same colour as a lager and has no body or creamy head features always present in a Guinness. The flavour ? well it’s not exactly pleasant is it ? don’t believe me check it out for yourself. I’am in my 50s and have tried every type of beer in every part of the world. I know my shit 😀👎

Had this for the first time today 25/0726. Really enjoyed it. Strange to get all the tastes of a dark beer from one that looks so pale. Really enjoyed it and will look out for it again. 👍

From the first time I tried this I was hooked, always keep a couple bottles, unique flavours for me.

A nice beer creamy with nice vanilla taste, Maurice

This is a “ marmite” beer some of my friends love it others are not sure. It’s an amber coloured beer but with strong overtones similar to a stout. There’s a definite vanilla flavour to it which I think is what puts some people off. However, I think this is an excellent beer very unusual but very enjoyable.

This beer is beautiful. We first came across the draught version at a Wetherspoons pub in Leeds over a year ago. The only problem I had with my latest delivery was that I paid for express delivery, but DPD did not deliver the beer until 7 days after my order. My friend was hoping to take some on holiday, but it arrived too late as he had set off on holiday. Thanks.

I had never come across a white stout before so had to try it when I saw it! Needless to say it is a thing of beauty! Sweet vanilla flavour paired with a creamy texture. I shall be seeking this out again, it has become one of my preferred beers! It’s very rare to find a beer that stands out like this.

Absolutely moorish drop. Full of flavour with plenty of vanilla, coffee & toffee notes, this white stout is pretty bloody magical. Never disappoints. Nethergate struck gold with this!

Lots of smaller breweries try and create something different and it does not always work...This works in every way from the wonderful malty taste with a well balanced bitterness, to aroma, mouth feel and real drinkability. An absolute cracking beer that I'll be re-ordering over and over again.

A delightful hint of vanilla adds a layer to the malty foundations. Not a hint of bitterness, despite it being a stout. A superb pint, creamy, smooth, I’d even go as far as to say comforting and cosy. Lovely.
Ignore the review above that mentions berries; this is not fruity at all, but mellow and vanilla in essence (pun intended).

Liquid white gold

I had a pint of this in Wetherspoons and it was lovely. Very smooth, creamy with a nice vanilla flavour. I'd never heard of a stout being white before but this tasted nicer than the more usual darker stouts. Excellent beer, would highly recommend and will buy again.
