A tropical heavyweight that refuses to play it safe. As the most intense expression of our Growling Dog range, the 7.5% Tropical IPA is a fruit-forward powerhouse crafted right here in Long Melford. We’ve utilized the natural softness of the water from our brewery’s own 100ft well to allow a massive five-hop dry-hop—featuring Idaho 7 and Mosaic—to explode with vibrant notes of mango, peach, and passion fruit. Unfiltered, hazy, and unapologetically punchy, it delivers a luscious, juicy sensory hit in every pour.

What began as a one-off cask brew demanded a permanent place in our lineup. Today, the Growling Dog Tropical IPA defines our modern craft side, but it’s still brewed with the soul of a traditional Suffolk brewery. Every drop starts with pure water from our own Stour Valley well, ensuring a smooth finish and luscious texture that balances the 7.5% ABV perfectly. It’s "grain-to-glass" brewing reimagined for the boldest palates.

A FIVE-HOP SENSORY HIT

We don’t believe in background pints. This IPA is built on a powerhouse line-up of hops: Idaho 7, Amarillo, Azacca, Simcoe, and Mosaic. This unapologetically hop-driven blend creates a sensory hit of pineapple, papaya, and citrus brightness. By leaving the beer unfined and unfiltered, we lock in the vibrant hop oils that give it its trademark haze and bold bite. It is an "unforgettable" experience designed for those who like their beer with a proper punch.
